Chesterfield Time Bank / The Royal British Legion Health and Well being Centre.
We are delighted to inform our members of the recent formalization of agreement between Chesterfield Time Bank and The Royal British Legion.
From September 2009 a ‘Health and Well Being’ project ( funded by TRBL) will be established here at the Parish Centre, Stonegravels. It is anticipated that it will joined by other centres in the Chesterfield and North Derbyshire region just as soon as suitable venues have been found.
We are especially keen to involve our membership in this exciting project and look forward to your input, especially so where potential beneficiaries of this service can be identified.
It cannot be stressed enough how large the target population is. TRBL estimate 1 in 6 are either , ex service men and women, serving personnel, or dependants. Statistically we all know people in the community who could and should benefit from this service.
Social and educational courses will be offered at the various centres. Lunch clubs, exercise and activity classes, diet and nutrition advice, chiropody and many more.
We see this as a new phase for Chesterfield Time Bank and hope our members will embrace this project. It will be a wonderful opportunity for you to earn more hours and more importantly you will be joining us in giving something back to the men and women who are giving or who have given so much to us.
